Guiding cities to identify new and unused revenue sources to build complete streets and public transport systems, that cater to all citizens

Urbanisation in India is far from uniform. Even within the areas of expansion of services and accessibility, the allocation of capital and reform tends to be myopic. Under the delusion of easing congestion, Indian cities have been burning money on vehicle-centric infrastructures such as flyovers and road expansions. But in reality, these primarily serve only a minority of urban residents—the motorists.

Urban Works highlights the need for reallocation of capital towards what our cities need the most– walking, cycling, and bus transit networks. We help cities adopt policies that mandate budget reforms and interventions to create a self-sustaining ecological transport system.
